Youtube vid coming soon

….got together with my old mate 'Bus Pass' to make a vid for the 1 minute 41 second ditty 'Land of Lies and Pies' that I recorded down at Transmission, Brighton a couple of weeks ago – thanks to Ali for the usual superb service. I get a little bit political here but not too serious however I just couldn't resist poking a bit of fun at the politicos and their cronies – it's an upbeat bit of ska  and I call it 'skatire' with a bit of 'skarcasm' thrown in for good measure – as my good mate journo Stevieo said 'not too subtle but very catchy!!' so keep watching for further announcements  - should be up in a few days. Long live UK reggae!!

Love and harmonies….

Wilcko back in the studio on Tuesday week….

Ahoyhoy, going back in the studio in Brighton on Tuesday to do two things; another bit of UK reggae – a free download called 'nice work if you can get it' which will be available from the site and a short track called 'lies and pies' which will accompany a short film to go on youtube.

Also keep an ear out on the local beeb, hoping to get some tracks played on the 'undiscovered' airings hence the badges on the homepage, joined SoundCloud – like it :-)

Ahoyhoy; more music and some books!!

Greetings in this post Christmas, pre New Year time….I have not been hibernating, I have spent the last 3 weeks finishing off a couple of writing projects; the first is a novel called 'Twelve Bars, Four Stations, One Track' and it's a Rock 'n' Roll Roller Coaster and the second is a story that I have been telling kids in schools for decades and  have finally finished the typed up version, it's called  'The Three Questions'. Just got to get them published now….think I will do it online.

Now that those are finished I can get back to the music, a new song 'Nice Work If You Can Get It' is going to be done soon and  available from the site, it's the usual UK reggae stylee and I love it.

Happy New Year

Recording more UK reggae in January

Yours truly can always be relied upon to do things in a round about way – new single track 'nice work if you can get it' will be recorded in January. It's a great piece of contemporary UK reggae got a great steppa backbeat and full of catchy hooks and it's going to be a free download so watch this space. Meanwhile the album of the same name is still available off the site.

Thanks Meridian FM

Ahoyhoy,

Many thanks to Mark Dodson and all at Meridian FM – we had a good long chat about many things reggae and UK reggae and we blasted a bit of 'get on don't you ever give up' across the airwaves – hoping to upload a copy of the interview soon. Planning to go back into the studio soon to record the single 'nice work if you can get it' – yes I know, it should be on the album but that is far too sensible an approach.

Ricky Gervais said on Twitter that people were complaining that he only used it to promote his stuff – of course he does,we all do that – it' s just that it works really well for him….

Cheers

Looking Forward to Meridian FM

Ahoyhoy – gearing up for an interview with Mark Dodson, 9.30 Friday (5th Nov) am on Meridian FM  so if you get a chance then listen in. I don't know how long they will give me but I hope that Mark will give me a chance to play a bit from 'nice work if you can get it'.

The weather is rubbish at the moment so maybe a helping of UK reggae will brighten things up a bit – hope some of my friends from FHL get the chance to listen in

Cheers!!

More Radio

Looking forward to taking to the airwaves again tomorrow morning at 9.30 on Meridian FM, based in East Grinstead.

Taking a CD along to share and talk about. Maybe we will talk about the UK reggae scene generally.

No doubt the comparisons between Ian Dury, Squeeze and Madness may be raised and I am happy with that – and why not, great company to keep.
