An absolutely cracking piece of funtime 2-tone from Brighton based Wilcko. Love it. Great 2-tone sound. Obvious Madness connection, but I can hear Ian Dury and Squeeze in there too. Top Stuff!! |

6 more excellent numbers on his site, 1 of which is a witty take on 'One Step Beyond'. ….the combination of truly masterful lyrics and carefully crafted instrumentation…reminds me of the 'Reluctant Stereotypes', a wonderful band on the edge of the Two Tone scene. Andy Cordy |

It's all here: South London lip up ska, Dury lyrics and Squeeze-y, bouncy, Gor blimey, Chas 'n Dave, pork pie nuttiness. It sounds great on mp3 but I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing it live and direct in a Sydenham pub backroom when I'm full of beer and whelks… which is the next logical step in Wilcko's career. Squeeze and Madness have gone to pearly king heaven, Dave's retired and Dury's dead.
